Why this smartphone is built for you

The Nokia X

The Nokia X is a mid-range smartphone that runs on Android (AOSP) with a number of Microsoft 'tweaks' on top. This is a departure from other Nokia phones which have tended to run Windows Phone exclusively.

This phone has a 4 inch touchscreen that displays in 233PPI (Pixels Per Inch). The average PPI for a modern smartphone is 255.

The Nokia X has a 3MP camera and can record video in up to 480p. This phone does not have a front facing camera.

Performance is provided by a 1GHz dual core processor and 0.5GB RAM. Based upon its processor speed and memory, this phone receives an unmudlr performance rating of 27 out of 100.

Battery Life

The Nokia X has an estimated battery life of around 13 hours. The average smartphone battery life is around 10 hours. It has a battery capacity of 1500mAh (MilliAmp hours). The average battery capacity is 1950mAh. The battery on this phone is removable.

1GB (Gigabyte) is equal to roughly 500 pictures or 250 songs. The Nokia X comes with 4GB internal storage and an expandable memory card slot which makes it possible for you to add a further 32GB external storage.

The Nokia X has Bluetooth which enables it to communicate with other Bluetooth devices (such as a Bluetooth handsfree kit) and it has Wi-Fi which means that it can connect to your home network or public Wi-Fi hotspots such as those available in many coffee shops, cafes or hotels.

The Nokia X has an FM radio and an MP3 player. It is able to integrate with social media via the built in Facebook and Twitter Apps and comes with instant messaging services Skype and BBM installed. Although this is an Android device, it does not have access to the Google Play app store and instead makes use of the Nokia Store.

Dual SIM

This phone comes in a dual SIM version (called the Nokia X Dual SIM) that enables you to pop in two SIM cards at once and choose the one you want to use. This comes in handy if you are planning to use your phone abroad extensively or want to keep your business and personal calls separate.

The Nokia X is a decent smartphone at a good price. It has excellent build quality and the inclusion of the Android operating system distinguishes this phone from the other Nokia devices in this price range.
