The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is a top-end smartphone that runs on Android Jelly Bean. It is an update to the popular Galaxy Note that Samsung released in 2011. It is both bigger and more powerful than its predecessor.


This phone has a 5.5 inch HD touchscreen (with a stylus) that displays in 267PPI (Pixels Per Inch). The average PPI for a modern smartphone is 255.


The Galaxy Note 2 has an 8MP camera, can record video in up to 1080p and has a 1.9MP front facing camera for taking selfies and making video calls.


Performance is provided by a 1.6GHz quad core processor and 2GB RAM. Based upon its processor speed and memory, this phone receives an unmudlr performance rating of 81 out of 100.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 has an FM radio and an MP3 player. It is able to integrate with social media via designated Facebook and Twitter Apps and comes preloaded with Google Maps, Gmail, Chrome, Google+ and YouTube. Other apps, such as Instagram, WhatsApp, Snapchat and Spotify are available to download from the Google Play Store, along with the latest music, films, TV shows and games.


The Galaxy Note 2 is a very good phablet that comes loaded with features. It is powerful, well designed and competent in all areas. Despite having been superseded by the Note 3, if you are looking for a large screen personal media player, this remains an excellent choice.
