The Fire is the first smartphone to be released by Amazon. It runs on Fire OS (the same operating system used by the Kindle Fire). The Amazon Fire is powerful, stylish and come loaded with some of the latest smartphone technology. This phone is also currently being offered with 12 months free membership of Amazon Prime.
This phone has a 4.7 inch HD touchscreen that displays in 312PPI (Pixels Per Inch). The average PPI for a modern smartphone is 255.
The Amazon Fire has a 13MP camera, can record video in up to 1080p and has a 2.1MP front facing camera for taking selfies and making video calls.

The Amazon Fire Phone comes with Firefly and Mayday installed. Firefly is an augmented reality feature that interacts with the world around you. Firefly can, for example, recognize printed text, provide further information on the TV show that you are watching or find a listing on Amazon for products that you scan using the phone's camera. Mayday is Amazon's live support service that promises to connect you to a tech expert to answer your queries on using the Fire Phone within 15 seconds. This phone also integrates with your Amazon account to allow the seamless download of your favourite apps, games, music, books and films from the Amazon Appstore/Amazon Instant Video/Kindle Books/Amazon Music.
The Amazon Fire phone is stylish, advanced and desirable. The addition of apps such as Mayday and Firefly help this phone to stand out from its competitors as does its strong integration with Amazon products such as imdb, Prime and the Amazon store.
