The 4X HD was the first LG phone to feature a quad core processor. It runs on Android Jelly Bean, is very fast and competes well with other similarly priced handsets.

The Optimus 4X HD has an 8MP (voice controlled) camera, can record video in up to 1080p and has a 1.3MP front facing camera for taking selfies and making video calls.

It is able to integrate with social media via designated Facebook and Twitter apps and comes preloaded with Google Maps, Gmail, Chrome, Google+ and YouTube. Other apps, such as Instagram, WhatsApp, Snapchat and Spotify are available to download from the Google Play Store, along with the latest music, films, TV shows and games.


The LG Optimus 4X HD boasts good functionality and an enviable array of features. It is comparatively fast, has a good camera and an attractive design. This is a desirable phone and represents a return to form, of sorts, for LG.
