The Sony Xperia T

To look at, it is hard to tell the Xperia T from the Xperia S. Under the bonnet, however, it is a different matter. The Xperia T offers performance enhancements in nearly every area. It is a mid-range smartphone that runs on Android KitKat. It is an accomplished device that combines excellent build quality, attractive design and a desirable brand.


This phone has a 4.5 inch HD touchscreen that displays in 323PPI (Pixels Per Inch). The average PPI for a modern smartphone is 255.


The Xperia T has a 13MP camera, can record video in up to 1080p and has a 1.3MP front facing camera for taking selfies and making video calls.


Performance is provided by a 1.5GHz dual core processor and 1GB RAM. Based upon its processor speed and memory, this phone receives an unmudlr performance rating of 48 out of 100.

It can also connect to DLNA or Miracast enabled devices (such as a Bravia smart TV) meaning that you can stream content both to and from this phone wirelessly.


The Sony Xperia T has an FM radio and a Walkman MP3 player. It is able to integrate with social media via designated Facebook and Twitter Apps and it comes preloaded with Google Maps, Gmail, Chrome, Google+ and YouTube. Other apps, such as Instagram, WhatsApp, Snapchat and Spotify are available to download from the Google Play Store, along with the latest music, films, TV shows and games.


The Xperia T is an attractive and well-constructed smartphone. It has a good camera and comes with some of the latest smartphone technology such as NFC and Miracast. Although it has now been superseded by more recent Sony models, such as the Xperia Z, it is still a strong competitor in this price range.
