Why this smartphone is built for you

The Nokia 206

The Nokia 206 is the better-equipped brother of the Nokia 105. It adds web access, an app store and a camera into the mix. It is aimed at anyone who requires some of the additional utility of a smartphone, but at an affordable price.

This phone has a 2.4 inch screen that displays in 167PPI (Pixels Per Inch). The average PPI for a modern smartphone is 255.

The 206 has a 1.3MP camera and can record video in up to QCIF (174 x 144). This phone does not have a front facing camera.

Based upon its processor speed and memory, this phone receives an unmudlr performance rating of 9 out of 100.

Battery Life

The 206 has an estimated battery life of around 17 hours. The average smartphone battery life is around 10 hours. It has a battery capacity of 1110mAh (MilliAmp hours). The average battery capacity is 1950mAh. The battery on this phone is removable.

1GB (Gigabyte) is equal to roughly 500 pictures or 250 songs. The 206 comes with 0.064GB internal storage and an expandable memory card slot which makes it possible for you to add a further 32GB external storage.

The 206 has Bluetooth which enables it to communicate with other Bluetooth devices (such as a Bluetooth handsfree kit) and it comes with the Nokia Xpress browser installed for surfing the web, however its ability to access the Internet is somewhat compromised by its lack of Wi-Fi and 3G.

Dual SIM

This phone comes in a dual SIM version (called the Nokia 206 Dual) that enables you to pop in two SIM cards at once and choose the one you want to use. This comes in handy if you are planning to use your phone abroad extensively or want to keep your business and personal calls separate.

The Nokia 206 has an FM radio and an MP3 player. It is able to integrate with social media via the built in Facebook, Twitter and eBuddy Apps.

At around £30, the Nokia 206 is a competent phone that is easy on the pocket. It offers a decent compromise between performance and cost and would make a great 'second' phone for holidays, nights out or younger family members.
