It is essentially an update to the iPhone 5 that boasts an improved camera, longer battery life and better performance that its predecessor. It is also available in a larger array of colours.

The Apple iPhone 5C has a 4-inch Retina LCD touch screen. 'Retina' is a trademark name used by Apple to indicate screens that they believe to be as good as the human eye can comprehend. This phone displays in 326PPI (Pixels Per Inch). The average PPI for a modern smartphone is 255.

This phone has an 8MP camera, can record in up to 1080p (full HD) and has a 1.2MP front facing camera for taking selfies and making Face Time video calls to other iPhones.

Performance is provided by a 1.2GHz dual core processor and 1GB Ram. Based upon its processor speed and memory, this phone receives an unmudlr performance rating of 60 out of 100.

Major differences between the iPhone 5C and the iPhone 5S

The 5S has a faster processor

You can unlock the 5S by scanning your fingerprint

The 5S is available in a 64GB model

The 5S has a metal body, the 5C has a plastic body

The 5C is available in a larger range of colours

The iPhone 5C is a colourful addition to the iPhone family that promises good performance and build quality, although without some of the premium appeal of the more expensive 5S. It is an excellent phone and would prove a good upgrade for users or older Apple models such as the 4 or 4S.
